In the 59th minute Michal Majdoch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Navarro Montoya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eric Gary showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidney Cavazos, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. The supporters of Jagiellonia Denver booed when Club Atlético Lanús was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position.
