Fernando Navarro Montoya dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After a rather tough play, DOE FC's Pons Looney got a free kick in the 25th minute. Kirk Lafond took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murray Schmitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute, Garfield Tovar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 32nd minute by Sal Leal got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Fernando Navarro Montoya came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by DOE FC's Marquis Frank. But to his dismay, Marquis Frank quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The supporters of DOE FC booed when Club Atlético Lanús was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Édouard Bacon didn't get a good kick on the ball. 48 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Lanús's goalkeeper Fernando Navarro Montoya had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mazinho Vasco.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lothaire Maddox was the one to do the kick off. Fernando Navarro Montoya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sal Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the game, Club Atlético Lanús's Murray Schmitz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kirk Lafond made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atlético Lanús's goalkeeper Fernando Navarro Montoya, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Édouard Bacon got free with Kirk Lafond in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 65th minute, Lothaire Maddox reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kirk Lafond. The goal made the score 2-4. Garfield Watson was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 94 minutes into the match. A collision led to DOE FC getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Tyler Bowser hit a great ball. In the 99thth minute of the game Lothaire Maddox who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DOE FC's Kirk Lafond was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The DOE FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Club Atlético Lanús were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
