Gigel Bucur's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eduardo Martini read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Toronto Marlies FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Josiah Ferland in the 17th minute. The corner led Toronto Marlies FC's Josiah Ferland to fire away a dangerous shot which Eduardo Martini despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Anísio Azevedo made a precise shot to the right of Anfilogino Amicone. Toronto Marlies FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 25th minute, Toronto Marlies FC's Gigel Bucur ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eduardo Martini. Eduardo Martini yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by CLAYMORE COUNTRY's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Josiah Ferland was slow to take the kick. During this time Toronto Marlies FC's players had a chance to rest. Toronto Marlies FC's Josiah Ferland was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eduardo Martini in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Eduardo Martini made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Gigel Bucur sent off a good shot on target. Anfilogino Amicone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anísio Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Gigel Bucur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Eduardo Martini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lu Yuan Chen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anfilogino Amicone having to make a save. In the 47th minute, Lu Yuan Chen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CLAYMORE COUNTRY fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After the first half CLAYMORE COUNTRY were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lu Yuan Chen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes into the match, CLAYMORE COUNTRY's goal looked a bit too open when Gigel Bucur came free, but Eduardo Martini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of CLAYMORE COUNTRY booed when Toronto Marlies FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerard Pique didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 66 played minutes Toronto Marlies FC got a freekick which was hit by Gerard Pique. Toronto Marlies FC made a substitution. Noel Hamlin replaced Fatsali Bedirhan. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind CLAYMORE COUNTRY's goalkeeper Eduardo Martini, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eduardo Martini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Passarelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toronto Marlies FC were awarded a corner in the 78th minute after CLAYMORE COUNTRY's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Josiah Ferland took the corner. Tracy Narcisse made a great header on Toronto Marlies FC's corner, it was just that CLAYMORE COUNTRY's Eduardo Martini managed to reach the ball for a save. Sten Lindell hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gigel Bucur in the 81st minute of play forced CLAYMORE COUNTRY's goalkeeper Eduardo Martini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th match minute, CLAYMORE COUNTRY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Félix Dobó to maneuver through the defense. Gerard Pique kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. A collision led to Toronto Marlies FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Gerard Pique hit a great ball. Lu Yuan Chen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Anfilogino Amicone when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Toronto Marlies FC made a substitution. Gaston Rader replaced Tomas Ånger. 96 minutes in the game Sten Lindell did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Anísio Azevedo. Eduardo Martini came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Toronto Marlies FC's Gigel Bucur. But to his dismay, Gigel Bucur quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
