The Toronto Marlies FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anfilogino Amicone should have stopped the shot. Joost de Zwart hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Tao Xi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gigel Bucur in the 12th minute. After a rather tough play, Flames FC's Miguel Campos got a free kick in the 16th minute. Joost de Zwart made in the 21st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Elias Emeterio immediately put the ball in play. After 23 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Flames FC! When the match had been going on for 25 minutes, Toronto Marlies FC's Gigel Bucur got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Tao Xi. Joost de Zwart charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joost de Zwart the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Joost de Zwart hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Gigel Bucur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute, Gigel Bucur made a precise shot to the right of Tao Xi. Flames FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Alican İçten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Toronto Marlies FC's Gigel Bucur ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tao Xi. Tao Xi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-1. In the 46th minute, Elias Emeterio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gigel Bucur to make the kick off. Anfilogino Amicone made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Alican İçten sent off a good shot on target. In the 52ndth minute of the game Gigel Bucur who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Flames FC's Tao Xi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joost de Zwart made in the 59th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Toronto Marlies FC's Léopold Thomas. Toronto Marlies FC's Anfilogino Amicone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camille Trudeau in the 63rd minute of play. A collision led to Flames FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Joost de Zwart hit a great ball. Toronto Marlies FC's Daniel Passarelli was substituted for Ian Pansby. Toronto Marlies FC's Noel Hamlin was substituted for Fatsali Bedirhan. Flames FC's Ture Gustafsson was substituted for Amat Mata. Joost de Zwart kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Anfilogino Amicone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Lopes, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Lopes in the 77th minute of play forced Toronto Marlies FC's goalkeeper Anfilogino Amicone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diego Lopes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Anfilogino Amicone came out and tried to block the shot, but Diego Lopes slotted it home off the left post making it 4-2 in the 79th minute. Toronto Marlies FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Josiah Ferland in the 83rd minute. A nice corner shot did that Josiah Ferland got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tao Xi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Diego Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tao Xi came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Toronto Marlies FC's Gigel Bucur. But to his dismay, Gigel Bucur quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. The Toronto Marlies FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
