Mark Abel charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mark Abel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gaizkine Abel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roegelio Abastas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the game, Jon Abechuco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Gaizkine Abel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gaizkine Abel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roegelio Abastas in the 21st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jon Abechuco got free with Gaizkine Abel in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roegelio Abastas in the 26th minute of play forced FlamengoPY's goalkeeper Gaizkine Abel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jon Abechuco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Gaizkine Abel made a huge save. When Mark Abel came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the 20 de Mayo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mark Abel couldn't finish the play. FlamengoPY's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
