In the 5th minute Ariando Abeitia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olando Aballe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Club Atletico River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Eli Abadie came free, but Alvaro Abadia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olando Aballe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fresco Abeijon went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. With his leg Alvaro Abadia managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when Jachapata FC's Jenaro Abadia fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 23 minutes into the match, Club Atletico River Plate's goalkeeper Alvaro Abadia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jenaro Abadia. 27 minutes into the game, Jenaro Abadia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Alvaro Abadia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico River Plate's zone, Jenaro Abadia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvaro Abadia came out of the goal and Jenaro Abadia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 40th minute, Jenaro Abadia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alvaro Abadia was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Fresco Abeijon kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Jenaro Abadia made the kick off in the second half. Jenaro Abadia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Abadia having to interfere. Alvaro Abadia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jenaro Abadia's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. After some careless play in the Club Atletico River Plate defense, Jenaro Abadia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alvaro Abadia. The Club Atletico River Plate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alvaro Abadia should have stopped the shot. 66 minutes into the match, Club Atletico River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Eli Abadie came free, but Alvaro Abadia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alvaro Abadia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jenaro Abadia in the 71st minute of the match. Baleren Aballe took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alvaro Abadia. Club Atletico River Plate's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 73rd match minute, Club Atletico River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fresco Abeijon to maneuver through the defense. Baleren Aballe took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alvaro Abadia. Club Atletico River Plate's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Alvaro Abadia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eli Abadie in the 82nd minute of play. Jenaro Abadia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 90th minute, Jenaro Abadia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jachapata FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Baleren Aballe charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baleren Aballe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Club Atletico River Plate's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
