In the 3rd minute, Aristides Lluc ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Urdin Abarca was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Urdin Abarca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Onega, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Urdin Abarca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aristides Lluc in the 9th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Defensor C.F.'s zone, Aristides Lluc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Urdin Abarca came out of the goal and Aristides Lluc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 17 minutes into the match, Aristides Lluc had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Urdin Abarca. Defensor C.F.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aristides Lluc was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Christiano Abastas kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Kamil Glik might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Urdin Abarca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kamil Glik ran back to his position shaking his head. Urdin Abarca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kamil Glik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 21 played minutes El Pulpo Paceño got a freekick which was hit by Tirso Abajas. Defensor C.F.'s Lehen Abascal got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Idacio Abecia during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 23rd minute, Idacio Abecia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Roberto Abella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 26 minutes into the match, Defensor C.F.'s goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Onega came free, but Urdin Abarca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Despite this Urdin Abarca quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 41st match minute, El Pulpo Paceño was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Svetoslav Genkov to maneuver through the defense. Dacio Abechuco hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After 43 minutes of play, El Pulpo Paceño's Aristides Lluc made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Urdin Abarca was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half El Pulpo Paceño were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Daniel Onega's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Urdin Abarca firmly grabbed it by the left post. Urdin Abarca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Onega in the 66th minute. In the 68thth minute of the game Aristides Lluc who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Defensor C.F.'s Urdin Abarca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 71st minute of the match, Aristides Lluc tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Urdin Abarca saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Idacio Abecia hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roberto Abella in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicanor Ascencio saved El Pulpo Paceño from getting behind. In the 75th minute Aristides Lluc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urdin Abarca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of El Pulpo Paceño booed when Defensor C.F. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlan Abeita didn't get a good kick on the ball. El Pulpo Paceño made a substitution. Joseph Lockwood replaced Aristides Lluc. In the 76th match minute, Defensor C.F. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlan Abeita to maneuver through the defense. Joseph Lockwood had several of the Defensor C.F.'s defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 86 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-9 score and a disappointed Urdin Abarca as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 88th minute, Honorato Abeijon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Onega succeeded in the game's 94th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-10.
