Kartal Namal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tximitx Aballe, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 8th minute, Fernando Abar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Cristal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to Atlético San Alejandro getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Elia Merczak hit a great ball. Sporting Cristal's Fernando Abar got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernando Abar in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kartal Namal saved Atlético San Alejandro from getting behind. In the 21st minute, Fernando Abar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kartal Namal was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Abar in the 24th minute of play forced Atlético San Alejandro's goalkeeper Kartal Namal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kartal Namal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mino Abellaneda, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Fernando Abar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 46 played minutes Atlético San Alejandro got a freekick which was hit by Froila Abel. The Atlético San Alejandro players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sporting Cristal were winning 0-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sándor Józsa made a kick off. Kartal Namal came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting Cristal's Fernando Abar. But to his dismay, Fernando Abar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. In the 55th minute, Sporting Cristal's Fernando Abar dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. In the 62nd minute, Fernando Abar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Cristal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. A sloppy throw-in by Quintan Abancens in the 78th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Sporting Cristal's Tximitx Aballe. 80 minutes into the match, Tximitx Aballe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kartal Namal. Atlético San Alejandro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tximitx Aballe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-10. Sporting Cristal's Fernando Abar shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 86th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Kartal Namal but with some difficulty. Kartal Namal made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Fernando Abar sent off a good shot on target. When Rexino Abecia fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Cristal's protests and gave Rexino Abecia a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sporting Cristal getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Rexino Abecia hit a great ball. 94 minutes into the match, Atlético San Alejandro's goalkeeper Kartal Namal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernando Abar. Sporting Cristal's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
