Geronimo Rulli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Feyyaz Erol's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute, Feyyaz Erol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laércio de Andrade in the 14th minute of play forced Pepsi Fuchibol Clu's goalkeeper Stéphane Brault to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stéphane Brault made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Laércio de Andrade sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Internacional's zone, Firmo Abella stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geronimo Rulli came out of the goal and Firmo Abella tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The attack was good, but when Lucio Eladio in the 20th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. With an all-out effort, Internacional's Stéphane Brault threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Evaristo Costa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Pepsi Fuchibol Clu's Lucio Eladio got a free kick in the 29th minute. Pepsi Fuchibol Clu's Wilhelm Lindqvist managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Cihan Mahmut in the 33 minute of the game. 36 minutes into the match, Pepsi Fuchibol Clu's goal looked a bit too open when Laércio de Andrade came free, but Stéphane Brault reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Benet Rano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Internacional's supporters rose to their feet, but Benet Rano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stéphane Brault breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Lucio Eladio fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pepsi Fuchibol Clu's protests and gave Lucio Eladio a yellow card for diving instead. After 43 played minutes Pepsi Fuchibol Clu got a freekick which was hit by Lucio Eladio. Stéphane Brault was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Abdelbassir Abubakar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lucio Eladio to strike the kick off in the second half. Lucio Eladio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benet Rano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute, Benet Rano made a precise shot to the right of Stéphane Brault. Pepsi Fuchibol Clu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Pepsi Fuchibol Clu's Lizer Abadie was substituted for Gitano Abad. After a rather tough play, Pepsi Fuchibol Clu's Ciprian Joldea got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 74th minute of the match Abdelbassir Abubakar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Stéphane Brault showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Stéphane Brault took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benet Rano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stéphane Brault showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benet Rano, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. 81 minutes into the match, Pepsi Fuchibol Clu's goal looked a bit too open when Benet Rano came free, but Stéphane Brault reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stéphane Brault took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benet Rano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Laércio de Andrade in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stéphane Brault saved Pepsi Fuchibol Clu from getting behind. After having played for 89 minutes, Remigio Ihazintu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pepsi Fuchibol Clu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remigio Ihazintu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Remigio Ihazintu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Geronimo Rulli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 96 minutes of play, Internacional's Evaristo Costa made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stéphane Brault was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pepsi Fuchibol Clu's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
