Spectators: 6688 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1688, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dalmu Mendi started the match with the kick off. Pepillo Para made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dalmu Mendi in the 5th minute of play. Verdun's Pepillo Para played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmu Mendi in the 7th minute of play. After 21 minutes, Lehoi Granja mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Verdun and the Zapucay AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 21 played minutes Verdun got a freekick which was hit by Lehoi Granja. In the 22nd minute of the match Virgilio Miel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pepillo Para skillfully saved the ball. Zapucay AFC's Firmin Vesga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Txatxu Espriella in the 25th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Teodor Rechani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was beautiful to see Zapucay AFC's Estevam Mestanza in action when he in the 31st minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Pepillo Para showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalmu Mendi in the 34th minute of the match. Firmin Vesga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Txatxu Espriella in the 37th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Txatxu Espriella's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Firmin Vesga was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. When Txatxu Espriella came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Verdun fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Txatxu Espriella couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Txatxu Espriella stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Verdun's goalkeeper Pepillo Para, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Verdun booed when Zapucay AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalmu Mendi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 57 minutes, Dalmu Mendi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zapucay AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dalmu Mendi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Dalmu Mendi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pepillo Para. That made the score 1-1 in the 63 minute of play. A collision led to Zapucay AFC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Baldomero Poo hit a great ball. Firmin Vesga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Txatxu Espriella, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. A collision led to Verdun getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Jago Foubelo hit a great ball. In the 76th minute Txatxu Espriella collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. Xabier Barrallo kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Firmin Vesga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valery Forcadas, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After 85 played minutes Verdun got a freekick which was hit by Jago Foubelo. 86 minutes into the match, Virgilio Miel sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Pepillo Para threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Virgilio Miel this time. Dalmu Mendi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Pepillo Para tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Verdun's Lehoi Granja got a free kick in the 89th minute. Frisco Guridi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pepillo Para having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
