Firmin Vesga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Taio Carabajo got free with Rufio Cubas in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zapucay AFC's goalkeeper Firmin Vesga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 29th minute of the match, Dalmu Mendi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rufio Cubas saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Frisco Guridi came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Zapucay AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frisco Guridi couldn't finish the play. Frisco Guridi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Rufio Cubas made a huge save. With his leg Rufio Cubas managed to avoid a goal in the 43rdth minute, when Zapucay AFC's Frisco Guridi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Frisco Guridi might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rufio Cubas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frisco Guridi ran back to his position shaking his head. The Zapucay AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. MASTERS were winning 0-2.

Frisco Guridi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Rufio Cubas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in MASTERS's zone, Dalmu Mendi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rufio Cubas came out of the goal and Dalmu Mendi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 79th minute, Dalmu Mendi made a precise shot to the right of Rufio Cubas. MASTERS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Rufio Cubas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dalmu Mendi in the 83rd minute of play. After 84 minutes, Gaizko Orbe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MASTERS and the Zapucay AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gaizko Orbe hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Zapucay AFC's Frisco Guridi got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rufio Cubas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dalmu Mendi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rufio Cubas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dalmu Mendi, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
