Etxatxu Torralba hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Evis Sayago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xayveon Leniz having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Evis Sayago was the one to do the kick off. Santiago FC's Xayveon Leniz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evis Sayago in the 53rd minute of play. When Guifre Villamizar fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santiago FC's protests and gave Guifre Villamizar a yellow card for diving instead. Guifre Villamizar hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Nacional's Thiago Vecino tried to score from far away in the 55th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Su Besteiro during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Carlos Rodrigues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urritz Pimentel in the 61st minute of the match. Furtado Bailina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Santiago FC booed when Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hurko Rovira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th minute, Furtado Bailina ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlos Rodrigues was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Nacional's Evis Sayago got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Xayveon Leniz made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Jorrin Aguinagalde sent off a good shot on target. Furtado Bailina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Florencio Miñon charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Florencio Miñon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Santiago FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Florencio Miñon hit a great ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Nacional players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Santiago FC.
