After 28 minutes, Bela Cañucal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mercedes FC and the Sauce players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gonzalo Rosio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Carballo having to interfere. If Nestor Mauricio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roberto Carballo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Mauricio in the 76th minute of play forced Mercedes FC's goalkeeper Roberto Carballo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nestor Mauricio in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roberto Carballo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 79thth minute of the game Nestor Mauricio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mercedes FC's Roberto Carballo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 81st minute, Nestor Mauricio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roberto Carballo was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Gonzalo Rosio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Carballo having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Nestor Mauricio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sauce's supporters rose to their feet, but Nestor Mauricio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roberto Carballo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Gonzalo Rosio came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Sauce fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gonzalo Rosio couldn't finish the play. Mercedes FC's Roberto Carballo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Rosio in the 92nd minute of play. If Nestor Mauricio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gonzalo Rosio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roberto Carballo having to make a save. Quirze Rubio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xamo Vardeci in the 97th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Sauce were the better team. Sauce's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
