When Ferman Canado fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Menafra's protests and gave Ferman Canado a yellow card for diving instead. After 24 played minutes Menafra got a freekick which was hit by Ferman Canado. In the 27th minute Humberto Viaña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Marzana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, Endura Rua cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0.
