Peñarol's Jacob Rivas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guaberto Veloso in the 8th minute of play. Jacob Rivas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cordarrol Marful, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Guaberto Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacob Rivas having to interfere. After 17 played minutes, Pinchazo FC's Txaran Joli shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jacob Rivas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pinchazo FC reached it. After 19 played minutes Pinchazo FC got a freekick which was hit by Ioritz Limon. If Artur Avellano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peñarol's Jacob Rivas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cordarrol Marful in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, Peñarol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Goizeder Otero to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Peñarol getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Cuarto Urtiaran hit a great ball. A hard shot 33 in the game by Etxepare Moscoso from a close distance when the talented Iliana Barron managed to make a qualified save. Pinchazo FC's players were relieved. Jacob Rivas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cordarrol Marful in the 34th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Peñarol defense, Cordarrol Marful kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacob Rivas. The Peñarol fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacob Rivas should have stopped the shot. Jacob Rivas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guaberto Veloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 42nd minute Cordarrol Marful shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacob Rivas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Monte Arenzana during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Peñarol booed when Pinchazo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Monte Arenzana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Pinchazo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Peñarol the free kick. After 63 played minutes Pinchazo FC got a freekick which was hit by Mario Carcel. After a defensive mix-up in Pinchazo FC's zone, Artur Avellano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iliana Barron came out of the goal and Artur Avellano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Pinchazo FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Monte Arenzana hit a great ball. Jacob Rivas had great luck who in the 71stth minute grab hold of the ball when Guaberto Veloso from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The supporters of Pinchazo FC booed when Peñarol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorien Folch didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cordarrol Marful struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Jacob Rivas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pinchazo FC. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guaberto Veloso in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacob Rivas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Guaberto Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Pinchazo FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pinchazo FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
