Spectators: 6703 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1703, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Efrain Haza took the kick off in the first half of the match. Vazquez's Manny Villapadierna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Umea Cambas in the 4th minute of play. After having played for 17 minutes, Ezkerra Peñacerrada managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vazquez's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ezkerra Peñacerrada was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 21 played minutes Jimenez got a freekick which was hit by Todor Iturcha. If Efrain Haza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ezkerra Peñacerrada came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Vazquez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ezkerra Peñacerrada couldn't finish the play. In the 30th minute, Itzaina Zumaya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Polo Castellano struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Manny Villapadierna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jimenez. The referee felt a red card was in order, 40 minutes into the game, when Iratxo Dameda put in a rough tackle. 40 minutes into the game, one of Jimenez:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 43 minutes, Vazquez's Itzaina Zumaya got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Nikola Irabien. Itzaina Zumaya hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Polo Castellano made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Vazquez's zone, Polo Castellano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manny Villapadierna came out of the goal and Polo Castellano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 53 minutes, Loren Gorostiza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vazquez and the Jimenez players grew even worse after the yellow card. Loren Gorostiza hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Polo Castellano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manny Villapadierna having to interfere. Nikola Irabien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ezkerra Peñacerrada in the 60th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efrain Haza in the 64th minute of play forced Jimenez's goalkeeper Nikola Irabien to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jimenez's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vazquez the free kick. Jimenez's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
