Licerio Agra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. La Banda Del Lechuga were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Minuano's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Unai Recino took the corner. After taking down the ball on La Banda Del Lechuga's corner Unai Recino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dimas Congey quite easily take care of the ball. If Caracakingo Villela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Errapel Eguia fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Minuano's protests and gave Errapel Eguia a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th minute, Errapel Eguia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Errapel Eguia was shown his second yellow card after 42 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Errapel Eguia kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Licerio Agra in the 46th minute of play forced Minuano's goalkeeper Dimas Congey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute, Vellito Lamas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Minuano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Licerio Agra to make the kick off. Dimas Congey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Licerio Agra in the 89th minute of the match. Teodoro Mirabel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Dimas Congey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Minuano's zone, Licerio Agra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dimas Congey came out of the goal and Licerio Agra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 99th minute of the game. One of Minuano:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of La Banda Del Lechuga:s goal.
