Eneko Banderas short, quick shot in the 9thth minute got Hernandez Palafox to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 12th minute of the match Lop Cavite shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rutenio Piñon showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Hernandez Palafox showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eneko Bandera in the 14th minute of the match. When Fortunato Freixes fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Riverofc's protests and gave Fortunato Freixes a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Riverofc's Fortunato Freixes got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 17th minute, Castel Egas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 19th minute Castel Egas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rutenio Piñon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Riverofc fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when Riverofc's Eneko Bandera looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Hernandez Palafox stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eneko Bandera's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Riverofc's Fortunato Freixes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hernandez Palafox narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Riverofc getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Confesor Bazan hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Confesor Bazan's late challenge caught a Carrasco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Riverofc had played much better football throughout.
