Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jaen Traspuesto got the match started through his kick off. After 4 played minutes Abayuba got a freekick which was hit by Gomesano Fresno. 6 minutes into the match, Abayuba's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Abeita came free, but Belmiro Jaurigui reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michel Asteguieta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Michel Asteguieta in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Belmiro Jaurigui saved Abayuba from getting behind. In the 10th match minute, Abayuba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roque Oliva to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute, Florin Sala got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 20 minutes of play, Verdun's Michel Asteguieta made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Belmiro Jaurigui was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Jaen Traspuesto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonatan Cadiñanos was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. 33 minutes into the match, Michel Asteguieta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Belmiro Jaurigui. Abayuba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Michel Asteguieta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Humberto Abeita might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Belmiro Jaurigui. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Humberto Abeita ran back to his position shaking his head. Belmiro Jaurigui showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Abeita, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The Verdun fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when Verdun's Michel Asteguieta looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Verdun's Humberto Abeita got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

If Michel Asteguieta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Abayuba's Belmiro Jaurigui got control of the ball when Michel Asteguieta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Humberto Abeita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abayuba's Belmiro Jaurigui proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Abayuba from getting a goal against them. Humberto Abeita struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Belmiro Jaurigui didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Verdun. The crowd rose to their feet as Humberto Abeita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Belmiro Jaurigui. That made the score 0-4 in the 65 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Michel Asteguieta got free with Belmiro Jaurigui in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 71 minutes into the match, Abayuba's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Abeita came free, but Belmiro Jaurigui reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Abayuba's Jaen Traspuesto in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Verdun's goalie prevented a goal. Michel Asteguieta in the 87thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Belmiro Jaurigui, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Jaen Traspuesto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 96th minute of the match Salbatore Olazaran shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonatan Cadiñanos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
