Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gervaso Rancaño started the match with the kick off. Cristian Baldonado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Zacarias Artechevezuen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8th minute Gervaso Rancaño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Artechevezuen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cristian Baldonado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zacarias Artechevezuen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gervaso Rancaño in the 14th minute of the match. Gervaso Rancaño spun around in front of the goal 16 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Savago FC's goal. After some careless play in the Savago FC defense, Cristian Baldonado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zacarias Artechevezuen. The Savago FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zacarias Artechevezuen should have stopped the shot. Savago FC's Hernando Baizan got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Montevideo's zone, Hernando Baizan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Demetrio Antezana came out of the goal and Hernando Baizan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Montevideo's Juan Courel got a free kick in the 26th minute. After having played for 31 minutes, Guillen Delgado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montevideo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guillen Delgado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Savago FC's Zacarias Artechevezuen got control of the ball when Cristian Baldonado tried to sneak it across the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Savago FC's Roque Taranco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Demetrio Antezana made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Savago FC's Iker Tabliega got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Zacarias Artechevezuen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gervaso Rancaño, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roque Taranco took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Demetrio Antezana. Demetrio Antezana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Roque Taranco made the kick off in the second half. Chan Sampayo's late challenge caught a Montevideo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chan Sampayo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 62nd minute Misael Yurre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Artechevezuen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hermon Valmayor hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Cristian Baldonado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Roque Taranco put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Demetrio Antezana. 79 minutes into the match, Savago FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gervaso Rancaño came free, but Zacarias Artechevezuen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zacarias Artechevezuen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elivareo Perea in the 89th minute of the match. If Cristian Baldonado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Montevideo defense, Hernando Baizan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Demetrio Antezana. The Montevideo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Demetrio Antezana should have stopped the shot. The Savago FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Savago FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
