The supporters of Capurro FC booed when Montevideo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delmiro Moroño didn't get a good kick on the ball. Demetrio Antezana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlandus Santaren in the 9th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orlandus Santaren in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Demetrio Antezana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Steven Peroria during the 17th minute. Demetrio Antezana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignado Molinillo in the 18th minute of the match. Elivareo Perea kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Montevideo's Demetrio Antezana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignado Molinillo in the 22nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Ignado Molinillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Demetrio Antezana was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Roque Basurto charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roque Basurto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 29 played minutes Capurro FC got a freekick which was hit by Roque Basurto. Bastiaro Garro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gervaso Rancaño in the 32nd minute of play. If Ignado Molinillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th match minute, Capurro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tito Pedreira to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Orlandus Santaren made a kick off. Cristian Baldonado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Bastiaro Garro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Cristian Baldonado came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Montevideo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Baldonado couldn't finish the play. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Capurro FC's goalkeeper Bastiaro Garro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 81 minutes of play, Montevideo's Gervaso Rancaño made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bastiaro Garro was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet as Capurro FC's Orlandus Santaren slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Demetrio Antezana. That made the score 1-1 after 84 minutes of play. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Montevideo's goalkeeper Demetrio Antezana, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
