The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute Guaviyu were awarded a corner. Bibiano Almandoz went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Bibiano Almandoz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Eduardo Cardona quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Justino Ricoy during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 8 minutes into the game, Guaviyu's Sugoi Lahoz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eduardo Cardona made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Nayely Tormes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dominic Carnicero in the 13th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Ieltxu Lluba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Ishmael Monesterio fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ituzaingo's protests and gave Ishmael Monesterio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th minute, Ishmael Monesterio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute, Sugoi Lahoz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Dominic Carnicero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dominic Carnicero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nayely Tormes having to make a save. When Belasko Vianes fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guaviyu's protests and gave Belasko Vianes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 37th minute, Belasko Vianes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guaviyu's Nayely Tormes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ieltxu Lluba in the 38th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Zernin Puertas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mariano Corroto charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mariano Corroto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th minute, Mariano Corroto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zernin Puertas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Cardona having to interfere. After the first half Guaviyu were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zernin Puertas made a kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Zernin Puertas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guaviyu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zernin Puertas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 55th minute, Marcelino Leyte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eduardo Cardona was a little too slow when Zernin Puertas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 0-2. After 62 played minutes Ituzaingo got a freekick which was hit by Justino Ricoy. The crowd rose to their feet as Guaviyu's Zernin Puertas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eduardo Cardona. That made the score 0-3 after 64 minutes of play. Sugoi Lahoz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Eduardo Cardona tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Zernin Puertas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eduardo Cardona, 0-4. Eduardo Cardona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sugoi Lahoz, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. If Dominic Carnicero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 87th minute of the game. One of Ituzaingo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Guaviyu:s goal. The referee gave Guaviyu a penalty, 89 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bibiano Almandoz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ituzaingo's Eduardo Cardona. 0-5. 94 minutes into the match, Ituzaingo's goal looked a bit too open when Zernin Puertas came free, but Eduardo Cardona reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Sugoi Lahoz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guaviyu's supporters rose to their feet, but Sugoi Lahoz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eduardo Cardona breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zernin Puertas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Guaviyu walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
