After 5 played minutes, Durazno AFC's Aurre Udias shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hipolito Escude came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Durazno AFC reached it. If Ximun Navedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The long shot by Napier Campomanes in the 10th minute really tested Mikeldi Olave's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Liberto Suarez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hipolito Escude showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rene Perera in the 23rd minute of the match. Hipolito Escude came out of the goal and Liberto Suarez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Durazno AFC's Regis Escoto got a free kick in the 38th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Ximun Navedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mirotaun's supporters rose to their feet, but Ximun Navedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mikeldi Olave breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mirotaun's Hipolito Escude played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liberto Suarez in the 44th minute of play. In the 47th minute Liberto Suarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hipolito Escude saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

If Rene Perera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 53rd match minute, Mirotaun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iratxo Villarin to maneuver through the defense. Iratxo Villarin hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 72 minutes into the game, Rene Perera recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hipolito Escude. Rene Perera showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Rene Pereras short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Hipolito Escude to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Hipolito Escude showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rene Perera, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rene Perera during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rene Perera kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. When the match was over Durazno AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mirotaun throughout the match.
