Spectators: 6691 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1691, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Celipe Bustos started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Varese's zone, Celipe Bustos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dei Olloa came out of the goal and Celipe Bustos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Varese's Dei Olloa got control of the ball when Xepe Goicoolea tried to sneak it across the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Varese's goal looked a bit too open when Xepe Goicoolea came free, but Dei Olloa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Varese's 袁镇渊 got a free kick in the 17th minute. With a little luck, Varese's Dei Olloa got control of the ball when Xepe Goicoolea tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chicão Paulista took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iparragirre Archibeque. Iparragirre Archibeque dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Olivera's Iparragirre Archibeque played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lehior Hompanera in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute Lehior Hompanera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iparragirre Archibeque saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 42 played minutes Varese got a freekick which was hit by Lehior Hompanera. Lehior Hompanera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iparragirre Archibeque having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chicão Paulista was the one to do the kick off. Chicão Paulista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Iparragirre Archibeque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dei Olloa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xepe Goicoolea, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Abel Prego took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dei Olloa. Varese's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Precioso Guitian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Iparragirre Archibeque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Precioso Guitian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iparragirre Archibeque having to interfere. When Varese's Precioso Guitian in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Olivera's goalie prevented a goal. If Erramun Lagunas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Olivera's goalkeeper Iparragirre Archibeque, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Varese eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
