The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Rivera AFC's Bide Gabirondo in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ★ VDK ★ No pain no gain's goalie prevented a goal. After 7 minutes, Hernandez Estopinal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ★ VDK ★ No pain no gain and the Rivera AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 8 played minutes ★ VDK ★ No pain no gain got a freekick which was hit by Hernandez Estopinal. If Bide Gabirondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to ★ VDK ★ No pain no gain getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Hernandez Estopinal hit a great ball. Lucado Moldes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bide Gabirondo in the 19th minute of play. If Gabino Manzardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucado Moldes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gabino Manzardo's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Gabino Manzardo took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lucado Moldes. Lucado Moldes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Gabino Manzardo charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gabino Manzardo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Rivera AFC's zone, Lertxun Salto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Odilon Aviñante came out of the goal and Lertxun Salto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Rivera AFC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Roberto Salero hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute, Roberto Salero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Rivera AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maxin Mareide made a kick off. 51 minutes in the game, Gabino Manzardo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Lucado Moldes having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Rivera AFC's Bide Gabirondo got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Maxin Mareide struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Odilon Aviñante didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ★ VDK ★ No pain no gain. 63 minutes into the match, ★ VDK ★ No pain no gain's Lertxun Salto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Odilon Aviñante narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 67 minutes into the match, ★ VDK ★ No pain no gain's goal looked a bit too open when Gabino Manzardo came free, but Lucado Moldes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rivera AFC's Bide Gabirondo got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lorencio Bodes during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to ★ VDK ★ No pain no gain getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Lorencio Bodes hit a great ball. 77 minutes into the match, ★ VDK ★ No pain no gain's goal looked a bit too open when Jaen Lumeras came free, but Lucado Moldes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lertxun Salto in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Odilon Aviñante prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Gabino Manzardo took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Lucado Moldes to make any attempt to save it. In the 96th minute, Bide Gabirondo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lucado Moldes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Rivera AFC played a much better game than ★ VDK ★ No pain no gain and deserved their victory. The ★ VDK ★ No pain no gain players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
