Victoria's Cris Portochao got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dario Ruidiaz was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dario Ruidiaz in the 54th minute of play forced Victoria's goalkeeper Vitoria Gañona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
