Afonso Cantero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bahiano Trincado, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After a rather tough play, Cordón FC's Baldomiro Arras got a free kick in the 14th minute. Chago Puelles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manex Menoyo's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Zemario Cimbrelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Afonso Cantero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Zemario Cimbrelo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Espinillo's supporters rose to their feet, but Zemario Cimbrelo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afonso Cantero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cordón FC's goalkeeper Afonso Cantero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 41 played minutes, Espinillo's Itzaina Horcajo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Afonso Cantero came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Espinillo's Chago Puelles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silbestre Santiyan in the 48th minute of play.

The wind increased when Manex Menoyo made the kick off in the second half. If Manex Menoyo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silbestre Santiyan during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Espinillo booed when Cordón FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silbestre Santiyan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bahiano Trincado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Afonso Cantero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. In the 60th minute Bahiano Trincado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Cantero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manex Menoyo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Chago Puelles made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Silbestre Santiyan sent off a good shot on target. Christiano Renteria kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Afonso Cantero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bahiano Trincado in the 69th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Bahiano Trincado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Espinillo's supporters rose to their feet, but Bahiano Trincado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bahiano Trincado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Cantero having to interfere. Manex Menoyo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cordón FC's Afonso Cantero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bahiano Trincado in the 90th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
