After a rather tough play, Verdun FC's Mariano Urrea got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 9th minute, Ximen Somovilla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Verdun FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Primo Arrateguibel's late challenge caught a Crevante FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Primo Arrateguibel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th match minute, Verdun FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primo Arrateguibel to maneuver through the defense. In the 18thth minute of the game Gero Madama who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Crevante FC's Leo Caller was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ximen Somovilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Caller having to interfere. After 34 minutes, Denis Alaña mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Crevante FC and the Verdun FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gero Madama recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ximen Somovilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Vitoria Pacios fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Crevante FC's protests and gave Vitoria Pacios a yellow card for diving instead. 40 minutes into the game, one of Crevante FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fraco Zumaya was the one to do the kick off. Gero Madama who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 51stth minute tested the skills of Leo Caller when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 56 minutes, Fraco Zumaya mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Crevante FC and the Verdun FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Walme Manglano, 57 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Gero Madama could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Leo Caller made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Crevante FC's zone, Ximen Somovilla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leo Caller came out of the goal and Ximen Somovilla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Ximen Somovilla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Verdun FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ximen Somovilla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leo Caller breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leo Caller made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gero Madama in the 84th minute. Leo Caller made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Gero Madama sent off a good shot on target. After 89 played minutes Crevante FC got a freekick which was hit by Denis Alaña. Leo Caller took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ximen Somovilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gero Madama got free with Leo Caller in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gero Madama fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Caller having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Verdun FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
