In the 20th match minute, Melo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Txurio Oterino to maneuver through the defense. Pedroso Laranga, 21 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Melo's zone, Zayvion Zuñiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Txanton Trillanes came out of the goal and Zayvion Zuñiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Toro Jane kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Pedroso Laranga was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 30th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Policarpio Calon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donio Bacon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Melo's Txanton Trillanes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Melo from getting a goal against them. Zayvion Zuñiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Txanton Trillanes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Reguero in the 37th minute of play forced Guichon's goalkeeper Policarpio Calon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damaso Donallo charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Damaso Donallo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42nd match minute, Melo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damaso Donallo to maneuver through the defense. Policarpio Calon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donio Bacon in the 48th minute of the match. After the first half Melo were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dominix Alegria to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Oto Ovalle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donio Bacon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Policarpio Calon having to interfere. In the 62nd match minute, Melo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Txurio Oterino to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute of the match Zabal Carrio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Policarpio Calon showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dominix Alegria in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Txanton Trillanes saved Melo from getting behind. Policarpio Calon made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Donio Bacon sent off a good shot on target. Through an outstanding action, after 80 minutes, Policarpio Calon successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Dominix Alegria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Txanton Trillanes having to interfere. Emanuel Reguero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Policarpio Calon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Reguero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th minute, Emanuel Reguero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Policarpio Calon was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The Melo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Melo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
