Sayvion Pellin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Silverio Recasens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 14 minutes into the game, Sayvion Pellin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Silverio Recasens. Sayvion Pellin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Indartsu Flamenco hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Mantzio Ferreiras was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 20th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 22 played minutes, Gerona's Donatello Fondos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Maximiliano Ceballo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gerona reached it. Maximiliano Ceballo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barea Mariño, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th match minute, Gerona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matthew Fontiveros to maneuver through the defense. Geronimo Escapa's late challenge caught a Arenal AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Geronimo Escapa helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Arenal AFC booed when Gerona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geronimo Escapa didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Indartsu Flamenco from long distance, 32 minutes into the match, got Silverio Recasens's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Valery Trapiella hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. When Casimiro Villandiego came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Arenal AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Casimiro Villandiego couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Casimiro Villandiego made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Arenal AFC got a freekick which was hit by Indartsu Flamenco. 52 minutes into the game, Barea Mariño cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Maximiliano Ceballo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 59th minute, Casimiro Villandiego got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Barea Mariño kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Maximiliano Ceballo. That made the score 2-2 in the 62 minute of play. Alvarez Constante took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Silverio Recasens. Gerona's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Casimiro Villandiego received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Silverio Recasens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute Gerona were awarded a corner. Mantzio Ferreiras went to the cornerflag to take it. Mantzio Ferreiras made a great header on Gerona's corner, it was just that Arenal AFC's Maximiliano Ceballo managed to reach the ball for a save. Maximiliano Ceballo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ignado Saavedra in the 74th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Arenal AFC's zone, Ignado Saavedra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maximiliano Ceballo came out of the goal and Ignado Saavedra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Silverio Recasens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casimiro Villandiego in the 82nd minute of play. Sayvion Pellin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silverio Recasens having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Casimiro Villandiego in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silverio Recasens saved Gerona from getting behind. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gerona's goalkeeper Silverio Recasens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gerona's Silverio Recasens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sayvion Pellin in the 93rd minute of play.
