The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fix Gallinar in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lon Usabiaga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lon Usabiaga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xzaiver Truebano, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Andoni Rosal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitin Cardoza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 13 played minutes Orgoroso AFC got a freekick which was hit by Egoi Retortillo. 17 minutes into the match, progreso f.c's goal looked a bit too open when Illart Somorrostro came free, but Lon Usabiaga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jacek Lewkowicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andoni Rosal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacek Lewkowicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Lon Usabiaga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Illart Somorrostro in the 25th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Papo Zamanillo took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Andoni Rosal to make any attempt to save it. 36 minutes into the match, progreso f.c's goal looked a bit too open when Fix Gallinar came free, but Lon Usabiaga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xzaiver Truebano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Salvatore Rascuro kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Orgoroso AFC's zone, Jacek Lewkowicz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andoni Rosal came out of the goal and Jacek Lewkowicz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jacek Lewkowicz to strike the kick off in the second half. Vitin Cardoza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Andoni Rosal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. progreso f.c's Lon Usabiaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xzaiver Truebano in the 54th minute of play. After 60 played minutes Fix Gallinar rounded progreso f.c's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2.
