The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Osoro Trianes during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 7th match minute, progreso f.c was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osoro Trianes to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reimundo Forcat in the 8th minute of play forced progreso f.c's goalkeeper Lon Usabiaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, progreso f.c's goal looked a bit too open when Reimundo Forcat came free, but Lon Usabiaga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Osoro Trianes got his second yellow card in the match during the 18th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 18th match minute, progreso f.c was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osoro Trianes to maneuver through the defense. Erubiel Igon lost his temper 19 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in progreso f.c fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 19th minute. Penalty! In the 24th match minute, progreso f.c was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvaro Alvarez to maneuver through the defense. 25 minutes into the game, Pelotillehue F.C.'s Llorienzo Gegunde nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lon Usabiaga made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 29th minute Reimundo Forcat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lon Usabiaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lon Usabiaga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Epifanio Sorzano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lon Usabiaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orti Enterria in the 34th minute of play. After some careless play in the progreso f.c defense, Epifanio Sorzano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lon Usabiaga. The progreso f.c fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lon Usabiaga should have stopped the shot. Papo Zamanillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pierres Sociats read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Reimundo Forcat stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Pelotillehue F.C. defense, Vitin Cardoza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pierres Sociats. The Pelotillehue F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pierres Sociats should have stopped the shot. Lon Usabiaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reimundo Forcat in the 65th minute of play. With a little luck, progreso f.c's Lon Usabiaga got control of the ball when Orti Enterria tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 71 minutes of play, progreso f.c's Vitin Cardoza made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pierres Sociats was left in no man's land by his defense there! Papo Zamanillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lon Usabiaga made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Ricardo Michelena sent off a good shot on target. A sloppy throw-in by Gartxot Balensuela in the 81st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by progreso f.c's Papo Zamanillo. Pierres Sociats showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vitin Cardoza, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Thanks to some nice moves Baiarte Chamorro could shoot a difficult shot in the 84th minute, which Lon Usabiaga however easily saved by the left post. Ricardo Michelena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of progreso f.c booed when Pelotillehue F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orti Enterria didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ilixo Brochero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Pelotillehue F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pelotillehue F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
