But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roman Villamil couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Quintana defense, Olaf Ragnarsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lehior Pañizares. The Quintana fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lehior Pañizares should have stopped the shot. If Lucas Beltrán had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucas Beltrán fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lehior Pañizares having to interfere. Lehior Pañizares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Beltrán, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 82nd minute, Lucas Beltrán fired a really elegant long shot, but Lehior Pañizares threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post.
