Emil Pleban showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prudentio Vilella, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 12th minute Olaf Ragnarsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tercero Albo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th match minute, Victoria AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldo Busto to maneuver through the defense. Emil Pleban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prudentio Vilella in the 18th minute of play. When Olaf Ragnarsson came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Las Piedras F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olaf Ragnarsson couldn't finish the play. James Kipkoech charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed James Kipkoech the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 29th minute, James Kipkoech hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Las Piedras F.C's zone, Distiratsu Barnechea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emil Pleban came out of the goal and Distiratsu Barnechea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Las Piedras F.C's Emil Pleban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lain Casabo in the 31st minute of play. Lucas Beltrán sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Victoria AFC's Salvador Cuebas got a free kick in the 35th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucas Beltrán in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tercero Albo saved Victoria AFC from getting behind. Emil Pleban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prudentio Vilella in the 40th minute of play. Tercero Albo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Beltrán, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

53 minutes into the match, Victoria AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Beltrán came free, but Tercero Albo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Beltrán in the 54th minute of play forced Victoria AFC's goalkeeper Tercero Albo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Las Piedras F.C's Olaf Ragnarsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tercero Albo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Olaf Ragnarsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Las Piedras F.C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 59th minute, when Prudentio Vilella scored to the left of an out of position Emil Pleban, making the score, 0-1. After 62 played minutes Victoria AFC got a freekick which was hit by Prudentio Vilella. With a little luck, Las Piedras F.C's Emil Pleban got control of the ball when Distiratsu Barnechea tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lucas Beltrán recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emil Pleban didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Artaldo Caraduje went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Lucas Beltrán struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Tercero Albo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Las Piedras F.C. 92 minutes into the match, Olaf Ragnarsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tercero Albo. Victoria AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Olaf Ragnarsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Lucas Beltrán recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Olaf Ragnarsson struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Tercero Albo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Las Piedras F.C. The Victoria AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Victoria AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
