Aznaro Anillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walme Bolilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabio Rojas got free with Errapel Bugedo in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fabio Rojas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Errapel Bugedo having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

If Honorio Navaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aznaro Anillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walme Bolilla in the 58th minute of the match. Musko Pernia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Errapel Bugedo having to interfere. When Mambru Munet fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Machado's protests and gave Mambru Munet a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Machado's Mambru Munet got a free kick in the 61st minute. After having played for 62 minutes, Walme Bolilla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Platon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Walme Bolilla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aznaro Anillo made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Honorio Navaes sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Rojas in the 74th minute of play forced Platon's goalkeeper Errapel Bugedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Errapel Bugedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Rojas in the 78th minute of play. Musko Pernia struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Salvator Magdaleno kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. The long shot by Gutierre Frade in the 86th minute really tested Aznaro Anillo's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Machado's zone, Walme Bolilla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aznaro Anillo came out of the goal and Walme Bolilla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Walme Bolilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Despite being the better team, Platon failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
