Spectators: 6690 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Barto Bernat started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Barto Bernat managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico Peñarol's supporters rose to their feet, but Barto Bernat was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roegelio Bricianos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Israel Robezo struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Silviano Ruega didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Valdense. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Salvadore Yanez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico Peñarol's supporters rose to their feet, but Salvadore Yanez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roegelio Bricianos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Barto Bernat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silviano Ruega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Micael Irazu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silviano Ruega stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Micael Irazu's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Valdense's Israel Robezo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Silviano Ruega narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barto Bernat in the 23rd minute of play forced Valdense's goalkeeper Roegelio Bricianos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Peñarol's goal looked a bit too open when Micael Irazu came free, but Silviano Ruega reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Valdense booed when Club Atletico Peñarol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evelio Roa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Micael Irazu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Silviano Ruega. Club Atletico Peñarol's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Micael Irazu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. With a little luck, Valdense's Roegelio Bricianos got control of the ball when Salvadore Yanez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Israel Robezo took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silviano Ruega. Silviano Ruega dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Micael Irazu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Silviano Ruega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Israel Robezo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Micael Irazu in the 44th minute of play forced Club Atletico Peñarol's goalkeeper Silviano Ruega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silviano Ruega came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Valdense's Micael Irazu. But to his dismay, Micael Irazu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The Club Atletico Peñarol players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Valdense were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Micael Irazu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Salvadore Yanez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roegelio Bricianos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. After 59 played minutes Valdense got a freekick which was hit by Tirso Tocalanza. If Salvadore Yanez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Israel Robezos short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got Silviano Ruega to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Tirso Tocalanza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 76th match minute, Club Atletico Peñarol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lizer Monterros to maneuver through the defense. Valdense's Denis Arizcun couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 76th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Club Atletico Peñarol. Micael Irazu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Silviano Ruega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roegelio Bricianos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zosimo Ahijado, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Tirso Tocalanza hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Salvadore Yanez kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. If Micael Irazu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Salvadore Yanez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roegelio Bricianos having to interfere. After 97 played minutes Valdense got a freekick which was hit by Tirso Tocalanza.
