If Marcial Puntones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geronimo Buron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Toldra in the 16th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Suarez's zone, Jesus Largacha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Markel Oria came out of the goal and Jesus Largacha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Asier Lario who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Markel Oria when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Markel Oria came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Echeverry FC's Asier Lario. But to his dismay, Asier Lario quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 28 minutes into the match, Echeverry FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Toldra came free, but Geronimo Buron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eguzki Besosa during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of Echeverry FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Suarez:s goal. When Marcial Puntones came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Suarez fans jumped to their feet. Xuban Caldueño kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Echeverry FC's Jesus Largacha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Markel Oria narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 47th minute, Tome Blanquel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Geronimo Buron made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Ricardo Toldra sent off a good shot on target. Marcial Puntones fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geronimo Buron having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Jesus Largacha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Echeverry FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jesus Largacha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Markel Oria breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Asier Lario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Markel Oria stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Asier Lario's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Marcial Puntones sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Echeverry FC booed when Suarez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicemte Alcocer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Asier Lario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Markel Oria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Asier Lario spun around in front of the goal 90 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Suarez's goal. Geronimo Buron made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcial Puntones in the 92nd minute. Marcial Puntones sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Marcial Puntones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
