Acegua's Pirro Andonegui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charro Millera in the 21st minute of play. After 23 played minutes, Acegua's Andres Posadillo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eliazar Canellas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Acegua reached it. Walme Cerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Eliazar Canellas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Acegua's zone, Charro Millera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pirro Andonegui came out of the goal and Charro Millera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Charro Millera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute, Samuel Airoldi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Narciso Sandoval sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Luciano Corrales fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ceibal's protests and gave Luciano Corrales a yellow card for diving instead. Ceibal's Charro Millera got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Narciso Sandoval to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Acegua's Corderall Guerris got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 91stth minute of the game Narciso Sandoval who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ceibal's Eliazar Canellas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
