In the 16th minute Ekhi Galvez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marko Balaguer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Quico Rollan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marko Balaguer having to interfere. A collision led to Zapican getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Urki Zumarraga hit a great ball. Quico Rollan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Xosepin Marti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Roldan Izar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute Xosepin Marti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chorache Panguision saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roldan Izar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chorache Panguision read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Zapican's goalkeeper Marko Balaguer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Xosepin Marti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eutropio Ascazua hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Roldan Izar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ekhi Galvez to make the kick off. The supporters of Sauce booed when Zapican was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urki Zumarraga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ekhi Galvez took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marko Balaguer. Marko Balaguer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 63 minutes into the match, Zapican's goal looked a bit too open when Ekhi Galvez came free, but Marko Balaguer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Zapican's zone, Ekhi Galvez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marko Balaguer came out of the goal and Ekhi Galvez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 69th match minute, Zapican was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelino Reyes to maneuver through the defense. Zapican's Urki Zumarraga got his second yellow card of the match in the 71st minute. The referee ordered Urki Zumarraga off the ground. After 75 minutes of play, Zapican's Roldan Izar made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zapican's Marko Balaguer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Froylan Aeta in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th minute Ekhi Galvez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marko Balaguer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Quico Rollan came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Sauce fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Quico Rollan couldn't finish the play.
