In the 18th match minute, Piraraja AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodor Hoyo to maneuver through the defense. Peter Peñaranda had several of the Piraraja AFC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 27 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Caetano Sandines as he didn't even see the shot coming. Artizar Solbeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Caetano Sandines was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Leheren Malmonje showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 31 minute of play. Artizar Solbeida succeeded in the game's 37th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. Novillos AFC's Pelagius Roberto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artizar Solbeida in the 46th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leheren Malmonje to make the kick off. Caetano Sandines made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Peñaranda in the 54th minute of play. If Isaac Queiruga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. Peter Peñaranda ran back to his position shaking his head. Isidor Gurendes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. The audience was convinced that Leheren Malmonje's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Caetano Sandines was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. When Xepe Abreu fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Novillos AFC's protests and gave Xepe Abreu a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Piraraja AFC booed when Novillos AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xepe Abreu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Piraraja AFC's goalkeeper Caetano Sandines, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Novillos AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Piraraja AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
