If Ximun Brau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Fagildo Cotes fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Toledo's protests and gave Fagildo Cotes a yellow card for diving instead. The referee gave Polonio a penalty, 8 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gaspard Ita, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Toledo's Isaias Barrio. 0-1. Ihintza Batalle hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Polonio's Gaspard Ita tried to score from far away in the 12th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Ximun Brau blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Isaias Barrio having to make a save. If Blanco Polanco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronaldo Santiyan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ihazintu Elgueta having to interfere. Blanco Polanco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ihazintu Elgueta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo Santiyan in the 26th minute of the match. In the 27th minute Blanco Polanco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ihazintu Elgueta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 played minutes Toledo got a freekick which was hit by Muno Acebo. Toledo's Isaias Barrio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frances Petino in the 40th minute of play. Isaias Barrio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ximun Brau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by Toledo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gaspard Ita was slow to take the kick. During this time Polonio's players had a chance to rest. After 48 played minutes Ronaldo Santiyan rounded Polonio's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ximun Brau was the one to do the kick off. Frances Petino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isaias Barrio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. If Ronaldo Santiyan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute Ronaldo Santiyan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ihazintu Elgueta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Polonio defense, Ronaldo Santiyan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ihazintu Elgueta. The Polonio fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ihazintu Elgueta should have stopped the shot. Ihazintu Elgueta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Santiyan, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 76th minute of the game, Santikurtz Cariton landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 76 minutes of play Toledo's Fagildo Cotes was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Fagildo Cotes kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Blanco Polanco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ihazintu Elgueta having to interfere. Blanco Polanco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Ihazintu Elgueta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isaias Barrio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frances Petino in the 89th minute. 91 minutes into the match, Toledo's Blanco Polanco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ihazintu Elgueta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frances Petino got free with Isaias Barrio in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Frances Petino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Polonio's zone, Blanco Polanco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ihazintu Elgueta came out of the goal and Blanco Polanco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Polonio's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
