In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Trigo AFC's goalkeeper Aldomiro Ayala, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 42 minutes into the game, Jeremy Castellvi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arevalo AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Trigo AFC the free kick. A collision led to Arevalo AFC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Jeremy Castellvi hit a great ball. In the 44th minute Silbestre Garriga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Udias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Florinio Cariga was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 48th minute. Arevalo AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After the first half Trigo AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Delmiro Jiron to make the kick off. Lleir Poo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldomiro Ayala having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match Silbestre Garriga climbed in front of goal and pressed up 0-2 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Alfredo Udias. 65 minutes into the game, Tauro Oruña was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. If Delmiro Jiron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Silbestre Garriga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trigo AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Silbestre Garriga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo Udias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
