With an extended leg and a bit of luck Unax Perez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 12th minute Nicollao Thomas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Unax Perez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Jimenez's Grabiel Baldonado slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Unax Perez. That made the score 1-0 after 23 minutes of play. Telo Maimo hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. When Grabiel Baldonado came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Jimenez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Grabiel Baldonado couldn't finish the play. Kevin Rois struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Unax Perez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jimenez. Grabiel Baldonado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nicollao Thomas made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicollao Thomas in the 51st minute of play forced Itapebi FC's goalkeeper Unax Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Unax Perez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicollao Thomas in the 55th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Grabiel Baldonado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jimenez fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 66thth minute of the game Grabiel Baldonado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Itapebi FC's Unax Perez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Grabiel Baldonado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jimenez's supporters rose to their feet, but Grabiel Baldonado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Unax Perez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zayvius Escola hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Telo Maimo might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Berriotxoa Veladiez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Telo Maimo ran back to his position shaking his head. Nicollao Thomas struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Unax Perez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jimenez. Nicollao Thomas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Unax Perez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play.
