Spectators: 6710 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1710, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Elija Jerena kicked off to start the match. With a little luck, Peñarol's Baudelio Tuset got control of the ball when Pitin Aizpurua tried to sneak it across the goal line. Guayabos's Roano Villoria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruy Tercilla in the 8th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elija Jerena in the 10th minute of play forced Peñarol's goalkeeper Baudelio Tuset to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baudelio Tuset made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gitano Moraina in the 16th minute of play. Mel Iriusta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baudelio Tuset made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elija Jerena in the 21st minute of play. After 21 played minutes Peñarol got a freekick which was hit by Perpinya Tercero. In the 25th minute, Pitin Aizpurua ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Baudelio Tuset was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Roano Villoria didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Peñarol's Ixona Uriondo shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Pitin Aizpurua received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Baudelio Tuset tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Perpinya Tercero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Elija Jerena came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Guayabos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elija Jerena couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ruy Tercilla to make the kick off. In the 60th minute Elija Jerena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baudelio Tuset saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roano Villoria made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Ixona Uriondo sent off a good shot on target. If Pitin Aizpurua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gitano Moraina's late challenge caught a Peñarol's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gitano Moraina helped the player get up and apologised. Gitano Moraina hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. When Guayabos's Elija Jerena in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Peñarol's goalie prevented a goal. After 80 minutes Peñarol's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ricart Regueira who took care of the corner kick. Guayabos's Gitano Moraina got his second yellow card of the match in the 80th minute. The referee ordered Gitano Moraina off the ground. A collision led to Guayabos getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Gitano Moraina hit a great ball. Ixona Uriondo scored 2-2 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roano Villoria, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ruy Tercilla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
