With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chico Verdaguer in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Remicio Lario saved New York Red Bulls from getting behind. Oso Alfebra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Luix Cabrero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oso Alfebra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 44 minutes, Chico Verdaguer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Drabble's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chico Verdaguer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luix Cabrero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oso Alfebra in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Chico Verdaguer made the kick off in the second half. Oso Alfebra struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Luix Cabrero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New York Red Bulls. Vellito Lerea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the match, New York Red Bulls's goal looked a bit too open when Chico Verdaguer came free, but Remicio Lario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ysidro Vaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luix Cabrero having to interfere. Luix Cabrero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oso Alfebra in the 66th minute of play. Chico Verdaguer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remicio Lario having to interfere. After a rather tough play, New York Red Bulls's Constantino Beloso got a free kick in the 96th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chico Verdaguer in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Remicio Lario prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
