The audience thought a goal was coming when Heli Almenara got free with Hitzeder Arranz in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Heli Almenara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Heli Almenara's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Hitzeder Arranz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 25th minute, Janusz Merski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 28 minutes into the match, Gudesteo Jimilio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eriz Ruales. Chengue F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gudesteo Jimilio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Eriz Ruales made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gudesteo Jimilio in the 31st minute of play. After 33 minutes, Oliviero Marful mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Peñarol and the Chengue F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Oliviero Marful hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Hitzeder Arranz made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Mannie Fragua sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Chengue F.C.'s zone, Gudesteo Jimilio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eriz Ruales came out of the goal and Gudesteo Jimilio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gudesteo Jimilio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Eriz Ruales tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hug Terres in the 46th minute of play forced Chengue F.C.'s goalkeeper Eriz Ruales to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Peñarol were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Heli Almenara made a kick off. Hitzeder Arranz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mannie Fragua in the 58th minute of the match. After 63 minutes of play, Peñarol's Hug Terres made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eriz Ruales was left in no man's land by his defense there! Peñarol's Gudesteo Jimilio was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 69th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Gudesteo Jimilio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eriz Ruales having to interfere. Gudesteo Jimilio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 75 minutes, Katia Gainzarain mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chengue F.C. and the Peñarol players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mannie Fragua in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hitzeder Arranz saved Peñarol from getting behind. Heli Almenara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Hitzeder Arranz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Peñarol's zone, Mateo Altamirano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hitzeder Arranz came out of the goal and Mateo Altamirano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chengue F.C.'s Eriz Ruales played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gudesteo Jimilio in the 90th minute of play. Hitzeder Arranz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heli Almenara, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Muno Chico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Eriz Ruales tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hug Terres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
