Gero Cora made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur Esperta in the 17th minute of play. Polentzi Altemiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Gero Cora tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliveiro Vesga in the 22nd minute of play forced Deportivo Ibarra's goalkeeper Orland Artigue to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner ended in Laurgain Gamarra almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Deportivo Ibarra's Orland Artigue did a great save. 26 minutes into the game Laurgain Gamarra kicked a great long shot which passed Orland Artigue straight ahead into the goal, Result 1-0. One couldn't see Laurgain Gamarra behind all of his teammates who surrounded to congratulate him. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliveiro Vesga in the 34th minute of play forced Deportivo Ibarra's goalkeeper Orland Artigue to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivon Basel hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Minas were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Deportivo Ibarra's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Laurgain Gamarra took the corner. With an all-out effort, Minas's Orland Artigue threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Oliveiro Vesga, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 48th minute of the match, Pancho Navariega got a very nice opportunity to score, but Orland Artigue was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oliveiro Vesga to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Deportivo Ibarra's Polentzi Altemiz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gero Cora narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, Deportivo Ibarra's Artur Esperta ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gero Cora. Gero Cora yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Cilio Paiz hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute Oliveiro Vesga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orland Artigue saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orland Artigue made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliveiro Vesga in the 72nd minute of play. Artur Esperta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
