Marco Aguillar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inguma Aguiriano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loren Mirabal in the 21st minute of play forced Atenas FC's goalkeeper Iparragirre Cadanes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sauveur Mangas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Iparragirre Cadanes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Loren Mirabal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atenas FC's goalkeeper Iparragirre Cadanes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Beisso's Loren Mirabal got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 53rdth minute of the game Sauveur Mangas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atenas FC's Iparragirre Cadanes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 54th minute, Hartz Cerezuela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Beisso were furious when Sugar Horreo was red carded, 58 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 57 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Beisso! Sotero Arrascarate walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Hartz Cerezuela's late challenge caught a Beisso's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hartz Cerezuela helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Atenas FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Hartz Cerezuela hit a great ball. 70 minutes into the match, Atenas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sauveur Mangas came free, but Iparragirre Cadanes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sauveur Mangas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iparragirre Cadanes having to make a save. 89 minutes into the game, Beisso's Sauveur Mangas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iparragirre Cadanes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. 98 minutes into the match, Atenas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sauveur Mangas came free, but Iparragirre Cadanes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Beisso fans cheered their team off the field, for while Atenas FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
