In the 30th minute Inigo Chacin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santxo Arcas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Simon Urbina tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Santxo Arcas. Xzavion Doria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santxo Arcas having to interfere. The supporters of Goni AFC booed when Alejandrina AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mark Cabrera didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Goni AFC's Sal Santillion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Piorno Olmo in the 54th minute of play. Mark Cabrera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Sal Santillion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alejandrina AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mark Cabrera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Mark Cabrera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Inigo Chacin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Santxo Arcas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 99 minutes into the game, Mark Cabrera cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Sal Santillion was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Goni AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
