The audience thought a goal was coming when Evaristo Guasch got free with Honorato Paternina in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Evaristo Guaschs short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Honorato Paternina to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 22 minutes into the match, C.A. RIVER PLATE's goal looked a bit too open when Yoelvis Malla came free, but Lazaro Barrachina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 24 minutes, Evaristo Guasch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A. RIVER PLATE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evaristo Guasch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Florentino's goalkeeper Honorato Paternina had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Evaristo Guasch.
